A Joyful Collective - Meditation through Watercolours

Hey Reader

Have you ever started painting and suddenly realised you've been at it for an hour?

You look at the clock and think, "Bloody hell. Where did that go?"

That's one of my favourite things about painting. You get lost in it.

For a little while, your attention shifts away from the emails, the shopping list, the million things you haven't done, and onto something so simple.

I’m doing a Breathworks class ATM and my teacher who is just brilliant - says “Spend time just being” (Easy for her to say!) And for me, painting is ‘just being’ even though I’m still doing!

And sometimes, this is exactly what we need. SIMPLICITY - doing just one calming thing - without all of the noise!

Not another course to consume or another technique to master. Just a bit of time to paint in a collective, in a safe space.

I've been exploring this idea inside The Joyful Watercolour Collective with something I'm calling Creative Resets.

These aren't complicated tutorials. They're little painting sessions where we can slow down, follow along and give our brains something else to focus on for a while.

That's where my Creative Resets come in. These are simple painting sessions where we can slow down and focus on one thing for a while. One of them is a repetitive floral pattern - little flowers and leaves, painted one after another.

No pressure to produce a masterpiece. Just paint, repeat, feel at home and come back to being YOU again.

I've opened the doors to founding members first, and I'd love you to come and have a look at what we're creating.

For £15 a month, (instead of £21) you'll have access to the watercolour teaching library, mini courses, five-minute flower tutorials, monthly live painting and a friendly space to share your work, ask questions and connect with other people who love watercolour.

Dip in when you have time. Follow a tutorial when you fancy learning something new. Or simply pick a Creative Reset and spend a little time disconnecting from how blinking busy life can get!!

No pressure to catch up. No expectation to be brilliant. Just a place to make painting a joyful habit!

Come and explore The Joyful Watercolour Collective

And if you're not sure whether it's for you, just hit reply and ask me a question. I'd love to hear from you.

Til next time,
Sue 🎨💛

Joyful Collective - Doors Open for Founding Members Hey ReaderCan I ask you something? When did you last sit down and paint just for the shear joy of it?Not because you wanted to learn a new technique or get better. Not because you needed to make something for someone. Not because you thought you should be doing something productive.Just because you wanted to paint to feel a little more calm & centered. It’s surprisingly easy for the things we love doing to get pushed to the bottom of the list,...
