In person watercolour taster sessions

Always wanted to try watercolour florals? Here's your chance...

Hey Reader

My Autumn watercolour workshop has SOLD OUT! 🥰

And I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has booked.

It genuinely means so much to me that you’re choosing to spend a whole day painting with me. I’m really looking forward to getting everyone together, switching off from the outside world for a few hours and getting properly stuck into some Autumn watercolour.

Thank you. ❤️

And if you didn’t manage to get a place, I have a little something else happening…on Sunday Sept 27th at Carnegie House, Bridgend.

As part of the Bridgend Arts weekend, I’ll be running a few one-hour watercolour taster sessions on Sunday 27th September.

These are very different to my full-day workshops - they’re mini taster sessions with me where we’ll have a go at my Explosive Flowers technique. Just an hour to play with paint, try something a bit different and see what happens!

So if you’ve been curious about watercolour but haven’t quite taken the plunge, this could be a lovely little place to start.

No experience needed.
No pressure to produce a masterpiece.
Just an hour, a paintbrush and a bit of creative time.

So...if you’ve been thinking “I’d quite like to have a go…”

Get yourself booked in here:

I can’t wait to paint with you. 🎨🍂

Til next time,

Sue 🎨💛

P.S.
I'm busy working away like a beaver on my Joyful Watercolour Membership...Due to launch end of September.

Autumn watercolour flowers

The best thing you can do for your painting is to let it rest... Hey ReaderHere’s something I’ve learned about watercolour…Sometimes the best thing you can do for your painting is leave it alone.Put the brush down and walk away…Stop fiddling Go and make a cup of tea.Do literally anything other than add just one more bit.Because there comes a point where you’re no longer improving the painting. You’re just… interfering.Honestly...I’ve done this SO many times.“Hmmmm. It needs a little more...

purple watercolour flowers

The power of purple... Hey ReaderI think I’m going through a purple phase. 💜For the last few weeks, I seem to be reaching for purple every time I sit down to paint. There’s something about purple in watercolour that just feels a little bit magical. It’s moody, it’s soft, it’s dramatic and, depending on how much water you throw at it, it can be about 17 different colours. 😂But here’s what I’ve really been loving…Purple + Sap Green + Orange. They just work.Purple and orange are opposites on the...

A chance to disconnect from the craziness of life... Hey ReaderHave you noticed that the evenings are fading away already! I don't wanna wish Summer away already but...with the blink of an eye Summer becomes Autumn. My favourite season of all...There’s something about Autumn though that really makes me want to slow everything down. And life has been a tad too fast recently...The colours become richer. The light changes. The garden starts to look completely different. And the abundance of...
