A chance to disconnect from the craziness of life...

Have you noticed that the evenings are fading away already! I don't wanna wish Summer away already but...with the blink of an eye Summer becomes Autumn.

​My favourite season of all...​
​
​There’s something about Autumn though that really makes me want to slow everything down. And life has been a tad too fast recently...​
​
The colours become richer. The light changes. The garden starts to look completely different. And the abundance of colours of course 😊
​
Simply perfect for painting - the rusty reds, faded pinks, deep berries, golden grasses and all those beautiful, slightly messy combinations of colour.
Although I think everything might look a little more yellow this year. 🍂
​
And the beauty is...watercolour is perfect for capturing that feeling of Autumn without needing to paint every single, tiny detail.​
​
A loose wash of colour.
A few expressive marks.
Some leaves, stems and flowers.
And suddenly you have something that feels like Autumn.
​
So I’m really looking forward to spending an afternoon doing exactly that at a special Autumn Watercolour Workshop I’m running in collaboration with Bridgend Arts. Art for everyone...

🍂 Autumn Watercolour Workshop

Saturday 26th September | 10am–3pm @ Carnegie House, Bridgend
​
​We’ll spend the day painting beautiful Autumnal florals, exploring colour, loose expressive marks and ways of creating flowers without getting bogged down in perfection.
​
And you absolutely don’t need to be an experienced painter.
​All materials are provided and beginners are very welcome.
​
​There are just 15 spaces available, (10 left now as 5 sold already. Huge thanks if you've already booked)
